Leo is my 15 year old Abyssinian cat. The Abyssinian is one of the oldest known cat breeds, dating back to ancient Egypt 4,000 years ago.They are one of the most beautiful breeds in my opinion. Leo is a "Ruddy" color, the “ticked” coat color or agouti fur, which alternates light and dark bands of color on each hair shaft. The end of the ticking is black. They resemble wild mountain lions or cougars but with big ears.
Leo loves to play and always wants attention. The breed is from Abyssinia which is now Ethiopia. They are quiet yet seek constant attention. Leo loves dogs after he gets to know them. He plays well with my two mountain dogs.
Leo is somewhat good at posing for the camera. If I want him to look he will certainly turn the other way.
He has beautiful feet with little toes. His claws are sharp and have to be trimmed often.
This breed loves the outdoors and loves to run. It's hard to get good pictures of them running. They are so fast.
